About My IP Address

My IP Address shows the public IP address that servers see when you connect to the internet, along with its reverse DNS hostname, country, and service provider (ISP/ASN). This address is your network identity on the internet - used for firewall whitelists, configuring remote access to a VPS, verifying your location, or simply confirming that your VPN is active. IPv4 and IPv6 values differ, and they can change if your ISP uses dynamic addressing or you switch networks.

How to use

Frequently asked questions

Why is the IP shown here different from the one in my router settings?

Your router shows a local IP (e.g. 192.168.x.x), while this page shows the public IP assigned by your ISP - the one that websites and external servers see.

Can my public IP address change?

Yes. Most home connections use a dynamic IP that changes when the modem restarts or at any time. A static IP usually has to be purchased separately from your ISP.
