About DNS Lookup

DNS Lookup shows the active DNS records for a domain straight from its authoritative nameservers: A and AAAA (IPv4/IPv6 addresses), MX (mail servers), TXT (SPF, DKIM, verification), NS (nameservers), CNAME (aliases), and SOA (zone data). It is essential when moving hosting, setting up email, or debugging why a domain is not yet pointing to a new server. Keep in mind that DNS changes can take 24-48 hours to propagate, depending on each record's TTL.

How to use

Frequently asked questions

Why do the results here differ from what I set in my panel?

DNS propagation has probably not finished yet, or the resolver in use is still holding an old cached value. Try again after the record's TTL has expired.

What is an SOA record?

The Start of Authority record contains the zone's primary nameserver, the admin email, the serial number, and the refresh and minimum TTL settings for that DNS zone.
